Nothing like a work trip to really test your strength to make healthy choices. Lots of coffee breaks with cookies, pasta lunches and evening events with carb laden appetizers like the all-you-can-eat Poutine Bar.

I eat pizza
On May 25th, I decided to go all in with Keto. Up until now I’ve tried recipes that are Keto friendly but I was apprehensive to go full out. But that day, I got on the scale, glanced at the numbers as they resolved on the display and started researching. One thing I’ve learned the last 7 weeks is to change my wording from “I can’t eat … ” to “I don’t eat …”. It makes difference. For instance, I don’t eat flour but that doesn’t mean I don’t eat pizza!!!

So is lunch, dinner and snacks. I cannot even tell you how much time I spend thinking about every meal and what impact certain food has to my journey. I scour websites looking for recipes, usually I look at the images first because if it doesn’t look good, chances are it doesn’t taste good. I test those out that make the short list. Whenever I’ve heard this before I’ve pictured my husband with a hammer in his hand or a mechanic under the hood of a car. But I never thought that using my ultra-comfy mat for a hot yoga practice was a bad thing. However my experience a couple of months ago, where I slid off my mat (yes slid, as in I was very sweaty) was my go-buy-a-hot-yoga-mat alarm. This is from their site (I am doing this review on my own, I purchased the mat, it was not gifted):
B MAT Strong (6mm – 71″), Weight: 5.0lbs
B MAT® Strong offers superior cushioning for the yogi looking for more comfort and support. B MAT® Strong is perfect for those with a higher impact practice, such as Vinyasa, or for those who simply value extra comfort and cushioning during Savasana, Yin or other practices.
Living on a cloud
A cloud bread that is. Have you tried this? What a great way to get the “bready” feel in an appetizer without all the carbs. I’ve heard about the bread but never really gave it much consideration. Until today.
OnePlus 3 Phone Review not written by a tech
If you’re looking for a review that will point out the fact that the phone has a bright AMOLED screen (I had to look up what AMOLED meant) or the Swap button feature (which I didn’t even know about until I read Ben Sin’s review in Forbes, thanks Ben!) then you should go to one of the tech review sites. This review is written by a person that uses this phone to blog, take photos of her kids and listens to audio books.

Repost: January 21, 2016
You’ll Flipp over this app. (OK, maybe it’s just me that finds that funny, every time I say it) It’s called Flipp. What is it? Flipp is the essential app for your weekly shopping. The only app that matches hundreds of coupons with local flyers to save the most at Walmart, The Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Shoppers Drug Mart, Best Buy, Sobeys and over 800 more retailers.
