Time to try Crossfit

I’ve heard about Crossfit for a few years now, one of my son’s friends has been going for a long time and loves it.  Recently at work, several of my co-workers have begun crossfit and they really seem to like it.  I’ve been told that its addictive.  Well, if I could choose an addition, I guess I would choose one that helps me on my journey (sorry Moscato Wine, you do not help).  Lucky for me the studio I chose also has Yoga!  Yeah me!

Sometimes it’s the first step.  I really am not an athlete by any means.  True, I’ve started a bit of weight training at home, plus a bit of cardio, but I’m not dedicated.  Nor do I enjoy it.  Well, at least I don’t enjoy the cardio part.  I LOVE the weights portion of my workouts.

Tonight I will try House Blend at Anchor and I couldn’t be more excited.  Here’s an excerpt from their website:

the best of both worlds: fitness + yoga in one class

metcon + slow flow yoga.
(both 30 minutes each)
high intensity training for 30 minutes in the gym, followed by slow flow yoga for 30 minutes in the studio our signature blend!
recommended + encouraged for all levels/types

Monday will be Metcon and Tuesday Crossfit.  I love that I can book the classes online and cancel if I have to.  The staff are so welcoming and don’t give you that “judgy” look you get when you walk into a regular gym.  Lets face it, I’m still at the beginning of my journey and have a ton to learn along the way.  I’m looking forward to what this next phase will be.
