So, my biggest struggle the last couple of months has been coming up with something to eat. Well, not only eat. Plus it wouldn’t hurt if my family enjoyed the meals we were eating too. They are not picky but we do love food. The metabolic plan hasn’t been going very well the last couple of months i.e. no change on the scale. I needed to find some way to keep my success on track. Then I discovered Linda. WOW, what a difference it makes to finally have a place to research recipes, plan my meals and come off like a star, all at the same time!
I’ve heard about Crossfit for a few years now, one of my son’s friends has been going for a long time and loves it. Recently at work, several of my co-workers have begun crossfit and they really seem to like it. I’ve been told that its addictive. Well, if I could choose an addition, I guess I would choose one that helps me on my journey (sorry Moscato Wine, you do not help). Lucky for me the studio I chose also has Yoga! Yeah me!
I love Friday. Who doesn’t? Well maybe people that work the weekend shift. Maybe they don’t love Fridays, but I start getting that light headed, giddy feeling right about now. It’s especially awesome since it’s an extended weekend and we’re going to visit my in-laws.
So, what did you all have for lunch today? It is Friday after all. You know, eat-out day. That one work-day, although others do this every day (ahem), that you can eat out. I’m not against this by any means. In the almost year that I’ve worked in my new role, I’ve got out less than 10 times. Why you ask? Well have a look at the below picture. This is why.
My scale has found a new temporary home. OK, well it’s not out of our bathroom, but I did prop it up against the wall. Previously it was right in the middle of the room. The scale mocks you from it’s position in front of the mirror, so not only do you weigh yourself (wearing as little as possible), but you get to look at yourself in the mirror at the same time. Yay me. But I moved it out of the way to limit my scale check-ins. Seemed to work.
I realized that I had forgotten to post last weeks clinic visit, so here it is.
It’s been a month, time to weigh in. The results, while not what I would have wanted, are not too surprising. But November is a month of changes.
So, I’ve talked about it. I’ve posted about it. And now I’m actually doing it. I will be weighing myself on the 1st of every month (regardless of what day of the week it is).
“Do not mock the serious Pokemon Hunters!” exclaimed my husband. After reading a facebook post from a friend that thinks we’re funny. Love her!
We just got back from bagging 28 Pokemon. Yes, you read that correctly!
I find myself saying “I’m going to blog about this”, a lot. Just last night, my husband and I went to a plaza to shop. After exiting the first store, I said “I”m going to walk to the next one”. My husband replied in mock horror “What?”. But honestly, that is our lives. We have gone to this plaza many times and yes, we will park in front of the first store and then drive further along the mall to to get to the next stores This time however, I said I wanted to walk. So we did. It felt great.
Today, I put that theory into practice again.

If you read my post a couple of days ago, you would have read Damali’s words of wisdom “Just because you get one flat tire doesn’t mean you slash the other three tires”. Well, I was so close to throwing in the towel on Monday, but I recalled these wise words and did my best to stay on plan. So even after a Turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. Plus late night chips and dip, deserts and of course Easter chocolate, I lost weight this week.
