At first glance, when you look at my weigh-in result, it looks like a minimal success. In fact, I quipped to the lady at WW “at least I didn’t go up”. In truth, I was more disappointed by this than if I’d gained. In my mind, I was upset that I didn’t lose like I did the previous week. Discouraged, I left the meeting (after it was done), drove home and stewed about this.
This morning I’m looking at my 0.2 lb loss in a different light. A positive light. It shows me that my plan works, because I didn’t gain, but it also shows me that it’s time to challenge myself. By challenge, I mean change things up, toss a little chaos into the mix and see what happens. As part of this weeks meeting, our team leader spoke about goals and setting attainable ones. I thought about this and I came up with the following:
My Goal: Before work each day, exercise for 15 minutes at least 5 times, before my next WW meeting.
I feel a bit like a conga dancer that keeps adding friends (mason jar salads, freezer meals, exercise) to her crazy dance. “dun–dun–dun da-DUN DUN”
Oh, I almost forgot, I was able to zip up my winter boots …. (wait for it) …. over my jeans! What? That hasn’t happened in years. I thought it was a miracle that I found boots that would fit under my pants (I have a hard time finding boots that fit my calves). But last night, before heading to WW, I tucked my jeans into the boots and voila! I only told one person about this “little win”, Christina from WW. But now I want to share it with everyone! Have a fabulous weekend!
